Colors and Lengths for Hair Extensions

Many colors can be used, they can be mixed to create a color, added in certain
places to create a block of color, added as highlights or streaks and many other possibilities. A range of lengths from 8-24" are available. Lengths longer than 24" are available but more order time may be needed as it is difficult to come by.

The strand by strand technique may not be the best for hair which is very short.
A weave or tracks may be a better option. Be weary of anyone that tells you it is
possible as it does not look. Ideally hair needs to be long enough to put in a pony tail, even if it's a short stubby one.

If hair is thick it often helps when some bulk is removed a little to make the
extensions look more natural, layers also help a lot. For extensions to be applied
to short thick bluntly cut (bobbed) hair,do not put hair longer that 16-18" unless
you are completely covering your natural hair.

The best hair for applying strand by strand hair extensions is about shoulder length,
fine or layered hair. You can have colors added into your hair which you do not
have in your own hair. A common favorite is having dark hair underneath and
lighter colors on top.

Streaks of color can also be added but bear in mind that if this is the case some
streaks may need to be put in higher up to show through your existing hair color. Extensions are often added just to thicken hair and add volume.

Hair Used for Extensions

The hair we use is 100% human hair. It is of excellent quality, the best on the market! The hair itself is from India, it is virgin hair, It is called this because no chemical processes have been done to it. The hair has not been dyed or damaged in
any way. The people whom the hair is from are not in any way exploited or cheated.

Asian hair grows up to 4 times faster than our own and so is not such a hardship to grow, the hair is then sacrificed to their temples and places of worship. The temples etc sell the hair to people such as ourselves and the proceeds are put back in to the temples.

Preparation for Extension Method.

Please come in with your hair in its usual parting, washed and natural. This will
help us to see where the extensions are needed. Also try to wear a t-shirt or similar, not a hoodie or anything which will not allow extensions to hang straight down your
back. You can use conditioner on your hair the morning before you have
extensions fitted.

If your hair is thick we might put some layers cut into your hair first. A layered cut
will enable better blending. It is also good to have any split ends cut as it will
enable your own hair to lay better over the extensions.

Ensure that your hair is the same colour from root to tip. It is important that the extension hair matches the ends of your hair as this is the hair which lays over the extensions so if the root of your hair is different to the tip then it is very hard
to match colours correctly.

Maintenance and Removal of Extensions

You may require a maintenance session during the time your extensions are in
depending on how long you choose to keep them in and how well your
extensions are looked after. You should not lose many bonds at all although hair
will thin over a while due to brushing, washing etc.

Bonds are removed using a bond removing solution which is sprayed on each
individual bond. Your hair will need washing after to completely wash out any bits
of glue. Removing extensions can take longer than applying that is why this
step is just as important as putting them in.
