To color, or not to color? If that's your question let's examine your options. There are three major types of hair color, they are;

SEMI-PERMANENT COLOUR

These are fun colors meaning they will last a short time, 1 to 4 weeks. They don't damage hair and you can expect 10% to 40% gray coverage or blending.

DEMI-PERMANENT COLOUR

Uses very low volume peroxide as a developer. These products cover gray better and last longer than semi permanent color. The color fades gradually leaves no obvious regrowth.

PERMANENT COLOUR

Most permanent hair colors use peroxide 10 to 40 volume and varying amounts of ammonia. The pros are they cover gray best, and can lighten up to three shades.
